At the time of writing this blog, Wordtracker’s paid version was priced at US $329 per annum or US $59 per month. In terms of pound, annual subscription worked out to be ₤161 or while monthly subscription was ₤28 a month.

Google Adwords Keywords Tool

As the name indicates, Google Adwords Keywords Tool is Google’s research tool. This is primarily for advertisers who promote words using cost per click (CPC) advertising to gauge competition strength but it can also be used by a newbie.

This free keyword research tool provides two search options. You can key in descriptive words or phrases to find competition for the search terms you wish to promote including the name of your website. Alternatively, you can also find the keywords that are indexed by the google search engine spiders for a particular term.
